Select the cells users may modify, run the menu command Format > Cells,
choose the Protection tab in the Format dialog, and uncheck Locked. Then run
the menu command Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet. Don't bother setting a
password. Just turning on protection will be sufficient with most users, and
it's very easy to undo passowrd protection.
