It depends on the version of Excel. Was it preinstalled on another computer
or did you buy it full retail?


By the way, there's no such thing as "Office XP Home Edition".

If you mean Windows XP Home, then if you have a legal copy of Excel or
Office that you could install on any PC, then you can install it under
Windows XP Home.
