exclude cover page from page numbering

How can I exclude the cover page from being counted in the numbered page
scheme? I want the inside page to be where page numbering starts?

What version Publisher? If you are using Publisher 2000 or below, open help, index
tab, input page_numbering in the search. There are only workarounds.
Newer versions of Publisher you will have a dialogue that will ask you what page
number.

am using pub 03 ... thanks your help ... think I have it ....

am not that good at publisher ... when I make a new section it inserts the
numbers as new objects within the frams ... in my original pub doc where the
cover page started as page one, I had set the page numbes outside the bottom
footer on either of a two page master ....

can you follow my problem?

Manually move the page number text box where you want it to be on the Master page,
you only have to do two pages. (a left and a right)
