Export to spreadsheet

We have a std export spreadsheet from ACCESS. When we click on the export
button it asks if we need to over-write and then exports and opens the file.
We want it to simply export but not open the file. Is there any way to do
this?

Sounds as if you're using a button on a form that was programmed to do the
export? It sounds as if the button's code is opening EXCEL (as that is not
the behavior when you use ACCESS's built-in menus for exporting).

You'd need to post the code that is runnnig when you click the button so
that we can help you "remove" the part that is opening EXCEL.
