I created a special certificate in publisherand want to send it out in a
format that others can view it from without having to have publisher open it.

Save it as an image.
In 2000 and below select all, copy, paste special.
In 2002 and 03 select all, right-click, save as a picture.

PDF format is the way to go - www.primopdf.com has a free converter,
www.adobe.com/acrobat has an expensive converter.

Expensive? Well - a little. But it's nice to be able to edit .pdf files at
times.

Compared to most Adobe software it's cheap, but compared to Cheap As Free
stuff it's expensive :)

Yep. In my case it was Cheap As Free because the group I work with purchased
it. And I used an employee purchase discount so I saved them money. As long
as I do their newsletter/website, I have it to use. When I no longer do, I
have PrimoPDF to turn them into a .pdf and ScanSoft's PDF Converter to turn
a .pdf into a Word document for editing. Not pretty but does a lot of the
work for me.
