exporting graph to excel

I have a report which is comprised entirely of a graph. I am trying to
export this to Excel via officelinks but it isn't working. It will create
the file in Excel but the graph doesn't show up on the Excel sheet. It is
blank. I can export the chart comprising the data just fine but not the
graph. I know this can be done I am just lost on how. Can anyone give me a
clue?
