Exporting messages to MS Access? Header dates missing

I'm trying to put together a good archiving strategy and
have decided that perhaps the simplest way to have a
searchable archives for email I've received is by
creating and maintaining it in an Access database. So I
did the File > Export > as Access file, etc. etc.

In the process they offer an option to map fields. I
chose default, then exported messages in my Sent Items
folder, opened Access, created a form and was able to
view all of the messages. Pretty neat and quite fast.
However, in the process I never saw a field option for
the date sent or date received, nor does this information
show in the database, making it a bit difficult to search
or group records by month or date.

It seems to me that all I need to do is export my sent
items messages and deleted items messages once a month to
a new database file and then import those records into
the master archive to maintain an ongoing, searchable
archive of data and keep my .pst files fairly small and
manageable.

Has anyone else done this and if so, when exporting
messages to an Access file, how does one obtain the sent
and received date/time as mapped fields?

TIA for any suggestions.
