Exporting Project Plan from Project Server to Project Pro

I have a number of project plans that were created using project server and
then saved to my hard drive. I no longer have access to project server and
have found the plans still expect Project Server.

How do I "export" or convert the plan to Project Professional stand-alone?

What do you mean by "Still expect Project Server" Once a file is in .mpp
format, the link is pretty much broken unless there are links to projects in
Project Server.

The one link that is there is under Tools, Options, Collaborate tab. Set the
Collaborate using drop down to None.

If this option is greyed out then you will need to copy paste all data to a
new file. Make sure its collaborate setting is none. and set the Set as
Default button after doing that.

Thanks much. That did the trick. When I tried to change resource
information it was giving me a warning message related to project server. I
also had trouble if I saved the file. I had to use "save as" or I'd get an
error that it couldn't find the server.
