Exporting "Sent Items" from Outlook Express 6.0

Schnitro

I recently upgraded from Outlook Express 6.0 to Outlook 2003. I was able to
succesfully import all my folders and addresses from OE 6.0 in to Outlook
2003. The only problem is that when I import my "Sent Items.dbx" from OE 6.0
in to Outlook 2003, the time stamp of each sent email in the Sent Items
folder in Outlook 2003 come up as the date of the file import (instead of the
actual date of the sent emails from my original "Sent items.dbx" file.

How do I fix this problem so that my Outook 2003 will import all Sent Items
from OE 6.0 and show the actual date each email was sent in the date column
view??

Thanks for your help.

You may want to try a "Copy" command from a temporary 'store'. In OE, use a
Select All and Copy command in the Sent Folder to place a copy into a temp
folder on your desktop, e.g., name it Express Sent. Then perform the import
into Outlook by pointing to the temp folder on your desktop. Or, you may be
able to just Paste the messages into the Sent Folder in Outlook. This is a
typical strategy for making backups of OE messages, or moving them from
machine to machine.
