Exporting Word Table (2003) to Excel spreadsheet

Can someone offer assistance. Under Word 2000, you could save using Text
with Layout Converter.

I have a table built in Word 2003 - that I want to export to Excel 2003. No
matter how I try to do this, instead of placing items in one cell it will
take multiple lines and make them into separate cells.

Ex - one cell has three sentences all separated by paragraph mark. When I
export I get three lines / cell instead of the three lines appearing in one
cell.

Any suggestions?
