failed install - project - unable to uninstall

I was installing Project 2003 and the install barfed out. I then attempted to
continue install, the program gave the option then said it could not. The
system then said I needed to uninstall project.... Under add/remove Project
did not register yet.

So at this point, I can not continue the install or uninstall to correct the
issue. Any ideas?
