Figure Captions

Joe

I am inserting several figures into a document. I formatted Heading One as Chapter 4 so that when I insert a figure and use caption, it will lable the caption as Figure 4-1, 4-2, etc. When I click on caption, the dialog box tells me it is going to lable the figure as 4-1 but when the caption is inserted it comes up as Figure 0-1. Anyone have an idea about what is happening?

Right click on the image, and click caption, the Caption dialogue box should
appear, erase the text and add what you want to be displayed.

Did you use "Bullets and Numbering" to include a number for Heading 1
style, to generate the "4". Sounds like you may not have, which would
explain the "0"...
