Hi Claus,

Office 2003 includes a built in replacement for MS Draw98, the MS Office Drawing Canvas. You can use MS Draw98 if it's installed
through Insert=>Object but it's not included with Office 2003.

What happens when you right click and choose edit or convert on an MS Draw object?

I spoke too soon. The old msdraw figures can be converted to a word picture and then edited
A ms draw 98 cannot be converted to anything else but ms draw 98 (only choice shown) ??
Also when the word picture is edited and you select update, then select close and return to
document then the figure does not get updated but the original still showing. When yo
re-edit it does it show the changes in the editor window correctly. Only when I then re-fit th
frame does it update the picture (extremely strange behavior)

The drawback with the canvas form is that you must be in print page view mode. When I the
toggle the alt-F9 to see my field codes for the formulas the screen shifts away several page
and I have to scroll back manually to find the proper location.
