File custom properties

Chris

Hello,

where can I find help about setting custom properties linked to content? In
particular, is it possible to link a custom property to a specific cell, like
in Excel?

Thanks,

Chris

In MS Projects 2002 I link between 2 or more projects: Tools>Link Between
Projects Not sure what you're trying to acomplish.

Hello,

It seems that I was not clear enough in my post.

I am talking about "custom properties" attached to a MS Project file:
File > Properties > Custom tab.

It is possible to create new properties and to link their value to the file
content. But I can't find out how to link the value to a specific cell (a
task name for example). I haven't found any information about "custom
properties" in MS Project help.

I use these custom properties in Excel files, in particular because they can
be synchronized with SharePoint. I want to do the same with MS Project files.

Thanks,

Chris

You can't link it to a particular "cell" because Project is not cell based.
Cells are a display artifact only. Data still exists even if the cell is not
there.
You can link to various bits of project data.
Go to file menu, select properties,
go to custom tab
check the "link to content" box and then select the source in the source
box.
