File/Image sizes

Can you tell me what the maximum image size and/or file size is that
Publisher can handle? I created an image 70" wide by 11" high and could not
save it as a TIFF file - I always get an error message.

Last I heard was that there is a 16MB size limit on imported images in
Publisher.

Effective pixel sizes are hard to judge, as since Publisher 2000 images
are compressed internally.

Workarounds:
a) Use a lower resolution.
b) Split the image into two (or more) segments, which individually have
PNG filesizes less than 16MB (Publisher recompresses most things as PNG
internally), then import them and use snapping to position them correctly.

There is a physical limit to the dimensions of a TIFF. The maximum size of a
file is 2^32 power, or about 4.2GB. But if you looking at PhotoShop then
look to this:

So try reducing the resolution that you are saving the file as.
