File not found error on open and closing project file

I am using Project Pro 2003 with Project Server 2003. One project in PS
gives a File Not Found error twice when we open it from PS. We can't
determine what is causing this error. Where should we look?

Thanks,

Walter

Also, once the file is opened, if I try to record a macro, a File not found
error pops up. The specific steps I am taking are Tools, Macro, Macros.
Then a Visual Basic Error message box pops up with File Not Found. I dismiss
it (clicking OK) and then the list of macros comes up.

Gary,

As best we can tell, no. We added the Subproject File and Hyperlink
columns to a view and none of them reference any other files. There aren't
any predecessors or successors in other files either. Any ideas where else
we should look?

Does this project reference another project that no longer exists?

I also have this problem with MS Project 2003 std.
It seems that it was a very old known problem, that already exists in
project 2002.
Unfortunately, I don't find any solution except copying all the tasks
in a new project.

if you have another one, you're welcome.

Thanks.
I will try that.

I posted this same question with a different group and I got these
suggestions on cleaning up a file that is corrupted.

"The only therapy that might work for file corruption is to save as XML and
then follow the process outlined here:
http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/BinaryRebuild.htm

The step in the link is important because saving to XML bloats the project.
If this doesn't work, I recommend rebuilding the file manually." From Gary

OR

"You might try the steps in this document:
http://www.sphericalangle.com/downloads/Troubleshoot_damaged_projects.pdf
"How to troubleshoot damaged projects in Microsoft Project" " From Scott
Button

"

(supersedes <[email protected]>)

Well, the first URL refers to project server and project professional.
The second one is a good one.
I save my project in a xml file then when I re-open it, it correct my
problem. I've only lost some colors or stuffs like that.

Bye,

Bruno

Thanks.
