file security modification

I need to share some ppt 2003 files & would like to add a PW to prevent file
modification, but still allow others to change which slide they use (hide or
unhide). Is that possible, either in the program or with an addin?

A modify password will prevent ANY modification including hide slide / set up
show etc.

Thanks, but I want the ppt file protection to prevent copying, modifying,
etc. but would like to let the still select which slides they want to
present. I don't see how it can be done in the program but hoped there might
be an addin with this flexibility.

If your slides DONT have action buttons which need to be clicked you can put
a large (larger than the slide transparent shape over each slide, this will
confuse most people . Make it large enough (in say 25% view) so that they
cant see the selection handles.

Another way is to save slides as png files and insert again as backgrounds
though you will lose animations this way.
