Filtering

I am currently creating a college class schedule. All of the classes have
been setup as recurring tasks. Some of the recurring tasks/classes are MWF
or TR, or even MTWR just like you would find in a normal college timetable.
These recurring tasks are also grouped by department such as biology,
chemistry etc. I want to be able to just print all of the classes just on
Monday, then print those just on Tuesday, and so on. I have the start and
finish fields listed with date and time. i.e. 11/30/05 7 am and 11/30/05
7:50 am. I am having a hard time just filtering just Monday's classes. Help!

Biology
Intro Biology 101 (Start: Monday Finish Friday)
Intro Biology 101 Monday 7:00 am - 7:50 am
Intro Biology 101 Wednesday 7:00 am - 7:50 am
Intro Biology 101 Friday 7 am - 7:50 am

Hi Andman,
Try inserting a custom field (Text1 for example) into your table. Choose
Tools --> Customize --> Fields and write the following formula in the Text1
field:
Weekday([Start])
Assuming Sunday is the start of your work week, the Text1 field should now
show numbers representing the days of the week for the start of the classes
(Monday will be 2, Wednesday will be 4, etc.) You can then create a custom
filter where Text1 equals 2 to filter for Monday classes. You could create
custom filters to view each day of the week.
