I am trying to perform manual resource levelling using Microsfot Project 2003.
First, I display the resource graph (or resource sheet) to see which
resources are overallocated. Next, I display the project as a Gantt chart,
then filter using a resource name. Then, on the Resource Management toolbar,
I click the "Go to Next Overallocation" button. This works fine for
resources whose maximum unit is 100%. It does not find the overallocated
tasks for resources whose maximum unit is greater than 100%.
To make the example concrete, I have a team whose maximum resource unit is
400% assigned to a series of tasks. I can see from the resource graph that
the resource allocation reaches 500% in some periods. But, I cannot use the
"Go to Next Overallocation" button to find which tasks contribute to that
overallocation.
Is there a way to find which tasks cause the overallocation in the case that
the resource has a maximum units greater than 100%?
