find previous powerpoint

I saved a updated slides to a powerpoint now I can't get back to the previous
version and it has important data I need. I have ppt 2003; windows xp
professional

If you mean "you can't get back to the previous version". That you
updated/changed the slides that held the important data and saved the file.
I'm afraid that unless you have a back up copy of the old presentation your
out of luck.
