Ever since upgrading from Office 2004 to 2008, a reminder keeps popping up in
my Office Reminders that I cannot find listed anywhere in the calendar, which
makes it hard to delete.

Let's try this on a duplicate of your Identity. Make a duplicate in the
Finder.

1) Export all of your calendar events. Under File in the Menu bar, select
Export. Select "Calendar events" as Entourage archive (.rge) file.
2) Select default custom calendar view "All Events" and delete all.
3) Import the Entourage archive (.rge) for your events.

See if the event is gone and the import was successful. If this works you
can now erase in your Main Identity.

I imagine there is some corruption in this file. If the above does not fix
it, then do a database rebuild.
