First had trial version, now registered version

A little history-I had the trial version of FP 2003 installed. I unstalled
it. Then decided to purchase and register FP. Even though I uninstalled the
trial (thought I had) when I installed the reg version it found information
about the trial version. I thought I remembered from the trial version that
I could access FP from the start menu. I can't access it from the start menu
now. The only way I can access it is to open IE. Of course there's a web page
there but not the one I want to edit. I know this is a very "newbie" question
but is that how FP is supposed to work? Is that how I access the application?
