Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a method of fixing a lag time of +20 days in a start-to-start link?

I am trying to constrain a task (Task B) which must commence exactly 20 days after the previous task (Task A) commences at all times. Ie. If Task B is delayed, Task A should follow such that the 20 day gap is still there. A prompt response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Harpreet

This is simple: In the successor field you would type in the task you want to impact, then "SS+20d"

So if you want activity 2 to start 20 days after activity 1 starts, activity 1's successor would be "2SS+20d"

You can also replace the 'd' for "Days" with letters for weeks or months, or even a percentage sign: "2SS+20%." This will impact activity 2 if activity 1 falls behind in progress and doesn't reach 20% when originally expected.

Hope this helps.
