Flying text one line at a time

T

TheNewsGuy(Mike)

I am having trouble setting my text to appear one line at a time.

I get the Title to appear and then when I click, all the line of my
slide appear together, when I want them to appear one line at a time
when I click each one.

I can't find anything in the Help files...

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

I'm hoping one of the folks with an old version still around can step in and
fill in what I mis-remember.

I think there is a tab in the custom animation dialog that allows you to
select how a text box animates. You want to change the selection from "As
one object" to "By first level paragraphs".

Hi there

I, like Bill, can't remember '97 but I did find this site:
http://www.quasar.ualberta.ca/edpy2.../pptBasics/pptBasics.htm#Slide Show Animation

If you go right down to the bottom the last picture shows you what you are
looking for: where it says 'Introduce text' you need to pick something other
than 'All at once' from the drop down list.

Hope that helps :)

Yes it did. Thank you both for making the suggestions.

In fact, in 97, the key is the "group by level of paragraph" setting.

Ahhh. I'll try to remember that one. Thanks for letting us know :)
