I'm trying to print a sheet of clear labels. I can do these with black
colored type. When I try to use white print on the label the printer just
runs a piece of paper through with no print process. Will print in black but
not in white.

Take a look in your printer cartridges, see what colour inks you can find.

Then try to find out how you mix those colours together to get a white ink.

The printer prints white areas by not printing anything, as it assumes you
are using white paper.

You can get printers that will print in white ink, but they tend to be more
spendy than your average desktop printer.

I'm assuming the reason for trying to do this is to stick the clear
labels onto a dark or black background, where only white text would
show. If this is so, couldn't you use white labels and try to match the
background colour of the document on your labels. If you tell Publisher
to use this colour as a background, then (in Publisher) you'll be able
to add the white text. When you print the labels, the inkjet will have
a colour it can use to create the white text outline. It's not perfect
but unless you change the design, I think it's the best you can acheive.
