Font Colors

Hi, I have a question about font colors. Ok, so you have your color scheme
(8 colors). If I want to have different font colors outside of those 8, I
can choose 8 more font colors. This is good. When I open up a new
presentation however, those new 8 colors that I just designated are not
remembered. Is there a way I can keep my 8 in the color scheme, and 8 more
font colors to show up on every new presentation?

Many thanks for any help.

Jeff,

Those 8 new colors are the last 8 colors you have chosen....if you choose
another color...then one of those 8 gets shoved off.

If you save a presentation those last 8 colors are preserved. So your best
bet is to select the 8 colors you want then saved that as the "default"
template. Which I'm not sure how you do on a mac ;)

Incidently there is a very good tutorial on the color schemes at

Thanks for the info. Picking 8 more colors in the current document works
fine from slide to slide within a presentation. As soon as I open a new
presentation, those are gone, and I have to pick my 8 font colors all over
again.

I would like to have the 8 colors in my color scheme, plus my 8 extra font
colors show up in every new presentation that I open. Any ideas?

Thanks again,
Jeff

I'm still not sure how you set the default template on a mac

Here is the tutorial for opening the blank presentation template and editing
it to your liking. Once you have it open, select the eight colors you want,
save, and close. Note that these colors will only appear for presentations
using the Blank Presentation design template, which is the default one.

Change the design of the default blank presentation

You might want to change the design of the default blank presentation in the
Project Gallery if, for example, you always use a certain color scheme or if
you want the logo of your company in every presentation.

1. Open an existing presentation or create a new one.
2. Change the presentation to suit your needs.
3. On the File menu, click Save As.
4. On the Format pop-up menu, click Design Template.
5. Find the Microsoft Office X folder by using the column browser, and then
open the Templates/Presentations/Designs folder.
6. In the Save As box, type Blank Presentation, and then click Save. If a
message box is displayed, click Replace to replace the existing blank
presentation.
