Font issue

I'm trying to open a document on another computer. It
said it was missing two of my fonts so I installed these
two fonts on the other computer but they don't look
right. Is it printer specific?? I used to have a
Laserjet 1100 with Windows 2000 and it would print fine.
I'm now using a LJ 1200 with Windows 2000 and it still
prints fine. Here's the problem: When I open the
document on another computer, the font looks totally
different. That's a LJ 1100 on Windows XP. So, since
it's printed right on that type of printer before, could
it be Windows XP??? I've already updated the printer
driver on that PC.
