Font Size

How can I change the font size to a number less than 8, when I open Word. I
have tried highlighting the font size and choosing a lesser number but Word
kicks me back to 12. Thanks

After you type in the new number, press Enter. You can use sizes as small as
1 pt, in half-point increments (for example, you can use 5.5 pt).

On the toolbar click the down arrow, it will display the different size
fonts, the 12 should be hilighted, simply type the number 6 or 4 (while the
font size is highlighted), or any number less than 8 and it will change it
for you.

This method will work only in Word for Windows 95 or earlier. In Word 97 or
above, you have to press Enter after typing in a number.
