Format cell - Project

I have two cells in the task field that will not respond to left or center
formatting. If I try to format left the wording will not move, if I format
right the wording will move all the way to the right as it should, if I
format to the center the working is off-center to the right.They are about 5
spaces from the left of the cell. This is driving me nuts. Any suggestions?

Which task field are you trying to format and in which view?

One reason left justified may not appear to work is if there are leading
spaces. This of course only applies to text based fields. And the fact
that "center" justification shows an offset leads me to believe that is
exactly what you have - leading spaces before the text - perhaps 5 of
them.
