Format date within text

Is there a way to format a date when it is included within text? For example:
="Today's date is "&now() displays the text and the serial number for the
date.

Rick,

Try something like

="Today's date is "&TEXT(NOW(),"mm/dd/yyyy")

="Today's Date is "&TEXT(NOW(),"mm/dd/yy")

Replace the format code I used (01/01/04) to whichever one you need.

="The date today is " &TEXT(NOW(),"ddd dd mmm yy")
This is text though, so you cant do calculations with it. I you want an
actual date that XL recognises, Custom Format the cells with
"The date today is "ddd dd mmm yy
