Formatting the master

I need a master slide that has a 36 pt orange title underlined, justified
right and directly below it a subtitle at 24 pt gray no underline. I also
need the standard Autolayout Object Area below. Of course I could do this if
it was possible to add placeholders... any ideas... am I missing something
super simple that I'm going top be embarrassed about???

The way I do it is to set up a normal slide with the specifications I want. In
your case, I'd probably give it a title of "T" (without the quotes) and set it
to 36 pt orange, underlined. I'd do something similar for the subtitle and the
object area, using minimal text. Then, whenever I need a slide with that layout
I highlight it and then go to Insert > Duplicate Slide and edit it so that it
contains the unique content. Editing is simple because, in the case of the
title for example, I just select the "T" and type what I want.

What Sonia said.....but also

you cannot create your own 'placeholders' on the 'slide master', but you can
create individual slides just how you want.

it would be nice if powerpoint had a 'sub title' option :)
