Please help!!
I have a word form set up - which I want users to be able to tick boxes, but
also part of the document are images that need to be drawn on. However when
the document is protected the option to use autoshapes are greyed out. the
images are pictures. Is it possible to do this?

No it is not possible to do this using form fields and forms protection. You
could use checkboxes from the Controls toolbox and not protect the document as
a form...

Which version of Word are you using?

Using 2003. The trouble is people who are using the form may change the form
without realising, and this form is published for other users to use.

Then I'm afraid you're not going to be able to achieve what you require. It would be
possible using Word 2007, but not an earlier version.

The only workaround I've ever been able to come up with is fairly complicated. It
involves using complex macros that extract the graphic to a different document, then
imports it back into the Form.
