Formula function not opening

SOS Excel 2007

I am using Excel 2007, and when I open the program everything looks
great....except when I go to the "Formulas Tab" in the tool bar and click on
it, it will not open! When I open the Task Manger window, it says that Excel
is "not responding".

The Formula tab will open in "safe mode". What is happening????
