when I create a formula in a custom task number field and click OK, I get the
message box about replacing exisint values with values created by the
formula...when I click that OK, it returns to the edit formula box and does
not repsond...the formula won't "take"
here is my formula, although I'm having this problem with ANY formula i
attempt to create.

DateDiff("d",[Baseline Finish],[Finish])

PatF,
The first message is simply giving you fair warning that if you already
have manually entered data in the spare field you are attempting to
customize, that data will be lost. When you hit "OK", it should send you
to the edit window to enter the formula.

Now, exactly what you mean by, "...the formula won't "take""?
