Forwarding a Meeting Request...

D

David Shih

Hi all,

I have an interesting scenario here and I'm not sure whether our
organization is the only one that is experiencing this.

For some reason, when a meeting request recipient decides to "forward" a
meeting to someone else, the forwarded meeting request will be shown from the
original sender name.

As an example, I have 3 guys here - Bob, John and Mary.

Bob sends a meeting request to John. John decided to inform Mary about this
so entered some comments in the meeting request about to be forwarded and
then forwards it onto Mary. Mary receives the meeting request and sees the
sender name as "Bob" instead of "John". Of course, she would then thought
that the extra comments would be originated from Bob instead of John.

If the comments are like "I won't be able to make it due to something on
that day..." then Mary would thought it's Bob who cannot make the meeting,
not John. This is certainly not the case.

Is this some issue which anyone else has raised before? Would appreciate if
someone can advise on ways to fix this. Our network consists of Exchange 2007
and Outlook 2003 users.

Thanks in advance,
David
