FP 2002 and Adobe Acrobat Reader 8

If I create a hyperlink for a PDF file, and tell the link to open a new
window (in the target frame), it will NOT open a new window when I check it
with either IE7 or Firefox..

Any help for a work around would be appreciated.

You need to edit your hyperlinks and choose Target Frame, then New Window or
switch to code view and add target="_blank" to the <a href tags

I have edited the link.

If I go back to editing the target link, it has reverted back to the default
setting.

That's because the link is in Word Art which doesn't support editing (and is not viewable except in IE)
- use an image link instead

PS
Remove all spaces from all file and folded names
- will cause broken links
Main Page.htm becomes
Main%20Page.htm
and
LEGISLATIVE FLYER Jan 12 2007.pdf becomes
LEGISLATIVE%20FLYER%20Jan%2012%202007.pdf
