Freezing one cell

Excel should have the option of freezing individual cells without having to
protect the entire worksheet. In creating a worksheet that has formulas, it
would be so helpful to be able to keep anyone from entering anything in those
cells.

I should add that, while it is possible to freeze individual cells, it should
be available without protecting the entire worksheet, as the window will not
pop up to full screen when acessed by other users.

concerned with your statement ...

".... protecting the entire worksheet, as the window will not pop up to full
screen when acessed by other users"

i've never seen this behaviour when protecting a worksheet - if i've sized
the window and chosen to protect the WORKBOOK with the window check box
checked then yes, but not worksheet protection

as to your "Excel should have" statement - if you want to provide feedback /
suggestions / requests ideas etc to Microsoft send them an email to
(e-mail address removed)

with Excel in the subject line

Cheers
