FrontPage 98 problem

I have Microsoft FrontPage 98, which has worked fine for
me. But I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall
Windows 98 yesterday, and after loading Frontpage, I can't
get into my web to edit. I get this message: The server
could not complete your request. Contact you Internet
service Provider or web server administrator to make sure
that the server has FrontPage server extentions installed.
When I click on details it says: HTTP/1.0 501 Not
Supported.

All I tried to do was open my Web to edit it. When I went
to uninstall FrontPage 98, I got this message: Cannot open
file C:\Webshare\wwwroot\_vti_pvt\frontpg.lck for writing.
It also comes up when I reinstall. I don't know if that is
my problem.

Any ideas?

C:\Webshare\wwwroot\_vti_pvt\frontpg.lck is a file that FrontPage uses to
prevent multiple designers from updating the same Web at the same time.
Sometimes, when a Publishing operation fails, this file never gets closed
and the Web erroneously remains locked.

If you can, just delete the file. If this fails, you may need to reboot and
try again.
