Frontpage messed up MS Explorer

I was toying around with a web template in FP 2003, and it changed the
folder structure within the place where some of my site stuff was. Now that
folder has a blue globe or dot looking thing in it. Think it has something
to do with FP extensions or something. But I do not want this. Went into the
properties of the folder and can not see any way to change this. So what do
I do here? I didn't realize it was going to do this as I do not mess with FP
templates much.

Okay, fixed it. For some reason, it changed the particular folder I was
after into a system/hidden folder. Why is this?

On a second note, are using web template and all within FP all that
powerful?

Oops, there is still a problem. Now I can not open the webpages I created
before this blunder. It comes with an error when I try to open those pages
for editing. Says that there is no web named "E:web/...." (the folder
location where this was located). So what do I do know? Thanks for helping
despite the multiple posts for this.

So one last thing, it just seems that these 5 .htm files that I want to open
as single pages are still somehow linked to ISS or something. But I am sure
someone on here knows more about how to correct this than me.

The first thing you did wrong was remove the blue globe from the
folder. This signifies that the folder is a FrontPage web, which is
essential for the correct operation of FrontPage.

Create a new folder on your hard disc, say at E:/myweb.
Open FrontPage then File->Open Web (File->Open Site in FP2003).
Browse to the new folder, and allow FrontPage to convert it to a web.
This will place the blue globe on the folder.
Then use File->Import and import the pages from your old web, which
may be deleted at your leisure.
Correct any broken links in the resulting web.
Finally, until you are acquainted with how a FrontPage web works,
never touch any of the folders and files in the web with Windows
Explorer. Some files/folders are hidden, system files/folders, and
must never be altered, else the web will cease functioning.
