To FTP you need a FTP client program, or have you host set up an FTP server location you would link to

What I am trying to do is:

I have a file on the server, ABC.txt, and want my clients to be able to
download it. As I understand it, there are two ways to do this, HTTP
download and ftp download. I really don't care how I do it (at least, I
think I don't care. Perhaps someone can tell me which one I want to use.)

How do I set up my web page so that my clients can download the page? I
might add, that the download is very infreqent. Perhaps once a month. And
the page is only one 8 1/2 x 11 text page.

Just create a link to it and let the users open the link (set the target for new window) in their browser (http) to view / save it,
or right click the link to save it - you don't need FTP

It's really that simple. Thanks Stefan.. Appreciate the comeback....
