My full screen view is not filling the screen! It seems to be disappearing gradually into my task bar at the bottom. Can't be dragged or expanded to fill the screen

And can you describe in a bit more detail what it is you're seeing, vs. what you expect to see?
My best guess, based on the little you say, is that you might try installing an updated graphics card driver.
