Fuzzy looking script in publisher e-mail templetes

When receiving e-mail from publisher version 2002, the script is fuzzy looking.
I've tried different font's, but no help. I've also tried them on different
CPU's and
notebooks and they are still fuzzy.
Hope someone can help.
Thank you,

It sounds like the text is being converted to an image. You can try going to
Tools > Options > Web tab and uncheck send as an image (may be somewhere
else in 2002), and send as a html formatted message. However, that won't
overcome design problems where you have overlapped elements, or used non-web
friendly fonts, etc. and the text is still converted to an image.
Furthermore, if you do send in html format, some email clients will not be
able to read your message.

To get the most consistent results, convert your publication to a PDF and
attach it to the message. www.primopdf.com is a source for a free PDF
creator. Pub 2007 has this capacity built-in.

DavidF,
Isn't the "built-in" capacity a separate download or install feature?

Unless your e-mail recipients have been well screened, they may never be
able to open a publisher document. They must have Publisher installed. There
is no "reader." As DavidF stated create a pdf and everyone will be able to
read it.

The Office 2007 pdf maker shows up as a printer driver called Microsoft XPS
Document Writer. I just created one. When I tried to open it, Firefox(?)
suggested a program to open it. Thought I would give it a try. By the time I
could get things under control 194 instances of Firefox had opened. I have
been unable to find a program that will open it.

That's NOT a PDF writer.

Install one of the freebie PDF writers and use it.

CutePDF is one such writer.

Hi Charles,

Unlike most PDF conversion tools, in Pub 2007 you File > Publish as PDF or
XPS... That opens a dialog where you can choose either format. Note also at
the bottom of the dialog that you have a Optimize for option. Click change
to choose what type of PDF you want.

XPS is a new "document storage and viewing specification developed by
Microsoft. It is aimed to be a complete XML-based..." :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XML_Paper_Specification

XPS files will be opened by Office 2007 applications.

Originally the PDF conversion was built-in to the Publisher and the rest of
Office 2007 Beta, but at the last moment it was pulled and offered as the
add-in. Rumor has it, Adobe had something to say about that.

194 instances! Whew...bet that took a while to shut down.

Surprisingly, the entire collection of Firefox instances closed when I
managed to catch the close icon on one.
These are the times when I wish my Microsoft Trackball Explorer would work
correctly (never has in Vista). I have always had on button set to close the
active window. Can't do it now.
BTW, I create all PDFs with Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro. However, I do have PrimoPDF
and win2pdf for demonstation purposes. And for my monthly Q&A article in our
Computer Club's newsletter.
