Gantt chart not showing up

Hi,

I've got Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 (11.0.2003.0816.15)
installed on a Windows Server 2003 box. It had been working just fine
till a couple of days back when the Gantt chart stopped showing up all
of a sudden! Now in the place of the spreadsheet-like matrix all I get
is an X mark (the kind of image place-holder that you get in Internet
Explorer when it is unable to load a specific image).

I have tried all kinds of things (including re-installing Project) but
to no avail. I have uploaded a screenshot here:
