Gantt notes

I am using Project 2003 and Excel 2000. When I export my notes from Project
to Excel it cuts some off. Why? How can I transfer the entire notes field
to Excel?

Hi Golfnco,

The export will only capture the first 255 characters stored.

If you do a google search (http://groups.google.com) search for "Notes
export to Excel" in the group microsoft.public.project you'll find
several work arounds.

As julie noted, Project truncates at 255 characters, but I have a couple
VBA macros that do it without the truncation. If you are interested, let
me know.
