General Templates

I downloaded a template from microsoft office web. I
installed it in the folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Templates\1033. When I open Word2002 and choose
File>New, then in the taskpane choose "General Templates"
my downloaded template does not appear under any of the
tabs. What am I doing wrong?

You put the template in the wrong folder! It should go in the same folder as
normal.dot and that is defined in tools > options > file locations > user
templates.
