Get Auto Refresh Text from Excel

V

Valter

Hello.

I would like to know if it is possible to make publisher insert text on a
table, that I have on Excel.

I would require that publisher changed the text when I changed it on excel.

Linked Object doesn’t apply very well because parts of the sheet are not to
be imported and in some cases some cells of the publisher table will only
have one letter.

Tks 4 the help in advance.

I have no clue...
I do know if you link an Excel worksheet with Publisher you can change the
fields and it will change in Publisher. I have no idea how it works in reverse
or if it even works in reverse. You might try an Excel newsgroup.
We have a Publisher expert around here sometimes, maybe she can help.

NO. That’s exactly what I want. Change the fields in excel and it will change
in Publisher.

Problem is I wanted it to copy only the text, no text format, no cell size.

Insert, Object, tick Create from file, browse to your worksheet. In Publisher,
Edit, Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object.
When you are finished editing, in Excel, File, Close & Return to Publication.

I am using Vista and Office 2007. The commands maybe a little different.

OK, it’s almost this.
Isn't there a way to choose the content of a specific cell?

It would be something like putting on cell of a publisher table the excel
command ='[filename.xls]book1!$A$1, that the best way I can find to describe
what I’m after

Valter, I can't help you. I haven't any experience in this. It seems the editing
is only in Excel and not in Publisher. Might try the conversion option.
