Getting a new copy of Office

Hope someone out there can help me. I had to reformat my
hard drive so lost all my installed programs. I(or my son
probably) seem to have lost my disc copy of Office and was
hoping there was a way I could obtain another copy, either
download or another disc, without having to buy it again.

Thanks for your response, I found out that first I need to
contact the OEM guys, hopefully they will help me. (kids!)

Aarghhh well it appears I am out of luck. This was my
response from the OEM guys.

"Unfortunately, we will not be able to replace the disk,
as we never kept spare disks (as it was a Microsoft
Retail product bundled with PC's and licensing laws do not
allow that). Also, the software is no longer
manufactured in that version.

Our apologies, but we cannot assist in this respect."

Out of curiosity what version of Office is it? I don't see the full
thread here but did you originally have the installation CDs?
