Hi,
The company has an Options Table that has OptionID,
Option, Category (same as the forms label for the combo
box), Area (which is a reference to which form has this
Category).

I realize that in hindsight things could have been
worked differently but like most apps it is a work in
progress with the client - 2 years now and still constant
changing.

Ok... each form (5 or so per specialization)has 25+
combo boxes that all lookup there values from the Options
table e.g. Color: red, blue, green or Size: 19 inches, 22
inches, 24 inches and so on. I store the value of the
combo box in a table that goes with each form e.g.
tblParameters - ID, Color, Size, etc.

Now the client wants to associate what they need to buy
if the Color is Red or Blue or Green, etc. Which makes the
structure all wrong but for quick reports it was great. Is
there a way to run a query that would lookup the field
names in the table and then I can get that to correpond to
the OptionID which would tie into the Parts table or
whatever you may want to call it.

I see this shortly becoming a BOM with Parent Part...
Parent Child Part... Child Part... thanks for any help.

Have a good day,
Bandit
