getting full addresses from old Outlook to new outlook

I have recently installed Microsoft Outlook 2003 and used to run the older
version where I had all the addresses of my contacts. How do I get them to
show up on the Outlook 2003. All that is showing right now are the email
addresses.

Explain how you migrated your Outlook data.
If you migrated your data correctly, you would see it all.
You should just copy and reuse the same Outlook data file.

We had Office XP Pro on our computer and then installed Office 2003 Pro. I
didn't do anything except install the program. I didn't know I needed to do
anything else to get the data from the old program. I "thought" everything
would just transfer over seeing as they were the same program just a newer
version. If I can still copy the Outlook Data file as you suggested, where do
I find it? Thanks for your help

It's probably still on your hard drive. You can either search (with the
hidden files and folders option enabled) for it or start by looking in the
folder where PSTs are created by default:
%AppDat%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. In Outlook,
click File>Open>Outlook Data File and browse to that folder, select your old
PST, and click OK. Then use the "Deliver new e-mail to the following
location" drop down on Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next to select that folder set
as your default. Stop and restart Outlook.

Before you do all this, however, let's get a little clearer understanding of
the problem you are having. When you say, "All that is showing right now are
the email addresses," what do you mean? In what view is the other data
missing? In place upgrades rarely work as expected, but I've never seen them
lose data. You would either see all of your old data or none of it,
depending on whether the upgrade routine created a new data file or retained
your old one. Your description so far does not permit us to tell what
happened.
