We had Office XP Pro on our computer and then installed Office 2003
Pro. I didn't do anything except install the program. I didn't know I
needed to do anything else to get the data from the old program. I
"thought" everything would just transfer over seeing as they were the
same program just a newer version. If I can still copy the Outlook
Data file as you suggested, where do I find it?
It's probably still on your hard drive. You can either search (with the
hidden files and folders option enabled) for it or start by looking in the
folder where PSTs are created by default:
%AppDat%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. In Outlook,
click File>Open>Outlook Data File and browse to that folder, select your old
PST, and click OK. Then use the "Deliver new e-mail to the following
location" drop down on Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next to select that folder set
as your default. Stop and restart Outlook.
