Getting rid of "Getting Started" pane

When project 2003 starts it shows the "Getting Started" Pane on the left as
well as the Project Guide.

Is there a way to get rid of the "Getting Started" Pane? And start up with
the Project Guide Hidden?

Go to tools>options>click the "general" tab and unselect "show startup task
pane" you can also stop the "advice" by unchecking "advice from planning
wizard" in the same window.

That worked fine.

But the Project Guide is always there at startup.

Hi Tom,

To turn off the Project Guide: Tools > Options, interface tab. Remove the
check from Show Project Guide.
